Each year millions of flower petals head to landfills after being used as offering in temples across India. In an effort to keep these out of the landfill, Trash To Cash, a not-for- profit organization that provides training and livelihood opportunities to people with disabilities, came up with an ingenious idea! They use flower petals to create these unique cashmere scarves while providing opportunity to disabled artisans. If scarves had good Karma, this is it! Give it to someone you love or wrap yourself in pure joy!
This scarf is made by an adult members of a community of disabled artisans. This nonprofit social enterprise offers employment and life skill training to individuals with physical disabilities as an avenue for financial independence and social acceptance.
